To All Medical Directors and Medical Practitioners of Government and Private Medical Facilities for Overseas and Seafarers (MFOWS) which Cater to Seafarers or Sea-based Clients:
Pursuant to Article V of the DOH-MARINA Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 1 Series of 2022, titled “Guidelines on the Recognition and Monitoring of Medical Practitioners,” dated December 16, 2022, and Department Circular (DC) No. 2022-0584, titled “New Guidelines in the Recognition of Authorized Medical Practitioners in the Issuance of Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) Certification for Seafarers of seabased clients shall be authorized by the Department of Health (DOH) as recognized medical practitioners RMPs.
In this regard, the Bureau reiterates the compliance to ALL the provisions of Article V of JMC No. 1 Series of 2022 and DC No. 2022-0584. Hence, the DOH continues to recognize medical practitioners and remids MFOWS to submit the following data using the forms provided in Annex A and Annex B of DC No. 2022-0584 via email at hfsrb@doh.gov.ph: (a) delisting of Medical Practitioners/Physician, if applicable, and (b) annual monitoring of the number of patient/clients of the recognized medical practitioner. For year 2022, kindly submit the data from October to December.
